**HR Manager - Preston - Up to £40,000**

As the HR Manager, you'll report to the Operations Director and will be primarily accountable for providing comprehensive day-to-day HR support, advice, and guidance to the business, ensuring the business remains compliant with all legal requirements andretains complete and accurate HR records for all employees.

In this role you will be an integral part of the senior management team (SMT). Working closely with the Operations Director and our business leaders you will build a great team culture and put in place best-practice onboarding, training, leadership, administration,recruitment, and performance systems. In this role, you will oversee all HR functions on-site including payroll, benefits, grievances, disciplinaries, absences and retirements while working alongside our recruiter to source, engage, hire and onboard the best people.

Being commercial and practical with the business knowledge to back up your decision making is essential. You will drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals, encourage the use of good HR practices for enabling change management processes andinitiatives designed to enable business growth and respond to key trends.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

- Managing employee relation issues across a broad range of topics including absence management, disciplinary and grievances
- Monitoring, reviewing, and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
- Assisting with internal key recruitment - interviewing and onboarding new employees
- Advising and working in cooperation with the other business leaders on the senior management team to drive the people agenda and culture
- At least 3-5 years HR management experience (Degree Qualified/CIPD Level 5 above Qualification preferable)
- A manufacturing/engineering/logistics background is preferable
