Purchasing Administrator

We are a fast growing staircase manufacturer with a fantastic opportunity available to join our team.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will provide support to the purchasing function of the business, ensuring seamless coordination with suppliers, goods in and accounts departments.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the efficient purchasing of stock, supplies and equipment
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders to suppliers with a high level of accuracy
- Confirm price/delivery on all POs with suppliers, and update in-house systems with up to date information
- Expedite purchase orders on a weekly basis and ensure timely delivery of purchased items for the business
- Reporting of any issues, late deliveries, shortages to Procurement Manager
- Manage goods-in calendar
- Administration of goods-in delivery notes and reconcile against PO
- Maintain rapport and good working relationships with suppliers
- Involvement in supplier meetings when necessary
- Assisting with month end stocktaking
- Involved in projects like purchasing system upgrades, new product introduction, product quality improvements, product efficiencies
- Assisting with the administration of the Chain of Custody data for all deliveries
- Assisting with physical stock checks, quality concerns and adhoc factory queries
- Previous experience within a purchasing / stock control environment
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good telephone manner with excellent communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills
- A confident and determined approach
- Proficient IT (including Excel / Google Sheets) and numeric skills

Monday - Friday (42.5hrs)
Flexibility of hours to be agreed between business opening times of 7:30am and 5:00pm

**Salary**: £26,400.00 per year
