**Children's Residental Support Worker**

We understand that a child’s emotional development can depend on their age, ability, and experience, but most importantly the access to a significant person in their life. A person who can help shape their future.

**Salary up to (depending on experience): £9.59 - £10.43ph**

Day to Day duties of a Children’s Support Worker:

- To ensure that the young people’s needs are recognised and met. This includes ensuring that they are free from discrimination within the home and to challenge discrimination from outside the home.
- To protect the young people from harm in and outside the home.
- To assist the management in the home in compliance with Ofsted, legislation, and the ethos and policies of the company.
- To exercise responsible control over the children to ensure their safety and wellbeing and assist them in developing acceptable standards of personal hygiene and behaviour.
- Encouraging children to abide by house rules and principles.
- To participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the individual young people’s care plans.
- In accordance with plans for the day, to organise and supervise recreational and leisure activities both in and out of the home to provide the children with an interesting and stimulating life.
- Being prepared to spend time away from home on holidays and at camps etc
- To ensure positive participation in the company’s internal training scheme
- To be familiar with and follow the Local Authority Child Protection Procedures
