An exciting opportunity has arisen for the South Community CAMHS Team to expand their offer of Family Support Workers within the team.

We cover Nottingham South and City areas. We offer a service to children, young people and their families with mild to severe emotional and mental health difficulties.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of nurses, psychologists, CBT therapists, peer support workers, family support workers, psychiatrists and social workers.

You will be expected to deliver (under supervision), a range of evidence based interventions for children, young people and families. This will include group work, individual work and parenting interventions. You will be expected to work alongside the already established family support worker team, to identify suitable young people for interventions and manage the waiting list, prioritising treatment dependant on needs, using a range of flexible interventions. You will deliver outcome-focused and time limited interventions for children and young people and families experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

Applicant should have good communication skills and be able to relate to young people and their families to engage them with interventions in relation to their mental/emotional health and well-being. In addition you will be able to work both independently and as an effective team member.

You may be expected to attend multi-disciplinary meetings and liaise and work with other agencies such as education and social care.

You must hold a relevant child care qualification at Diploma level or equivalent, e.g. NNEB, NVQ with experience of working with young people and their families in relation to their emotional and mental health needs

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
