We are working in partnership with **Nottingham City Council**to appoint Several**Family Support Workers**within their **Children in Care and the Fieldwork teams.**

**Contract
**6 month agency contract** with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.

**Role Location** - Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham, NG2 3NG.

**Start Date** - ASAP**Working Hours** - 37 hours per week.

**About The Role;
You will be expected to support Social Workers with Assessments, direct work with young people, education plans (ePEPS), safe and well visits, working with young people and families, and some supervised contacts.

**Responsibilities;
- Direct work with children and parents/carers.
- To take responsibility for specific work with children and families as part of the service plan.
- To organise and take part in leisure activities with young people as appropriate, and to escort them to/from activities.
- To support parents/carers in establishing day-to-day routines and fulfilling practical tasks that help to meet the needs of their children.
- To promote the involvement of young people and their families in planning and decision making.
- Casework duties.
- To maintain case files, record work and write reports and correspondence as appropriate.
- To identify situations that require the input of a qualified worker and to seek advice and guidance when needed, in particular responding promptly to incidents that may have child protection implications.
- To make good use of the departments information systems, entering and reading information as required.
- Partnerships and networking:

- To contribute to the creation and maintenance of good working relationships, at all levels, with colleagues in partner agencies and other City Council Departments, and with the public.
- To be a proactive and positive member of the team, contributing to a problem solving and teamwork approach.

**Key Requirements;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with children or children and their families who are experiencing difficulties.
- **Full Driving Licence.**:

- Proof of car insurance.
