Event Team Leader

We are currently recruiting for additional Team Leaders to join our events team on a **CASUAL **basis across Greater Manchester and Blackpool area for our Football Stadium's.

**Primary Purpose of Job Role**

You will be leading a dynamic team at outdoor events and venues to ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors attending the event at which you are on duty. Maintaining a high level of customer service, professionalism and ensuring that ExcluSec Professional Standards are maintained at all times.
- This is a casual and / or part time role, however there is an expectation that you would be available for all Home Matches at your assigned Stadium_

**Hours**:

- Casual Contract (Zero Hours)
- Evening and weekend working required

**The Role**
- To provide support to the Event Operations Manager (if present)
- To communicate the requirements of the event to your team via event briefings.
- To brief your team on what is expected of them as per our ‘Professional Standards’ and what to expect during the event.
- To deploy staff accordingly to the staffing schedule and deployment summary.
- To manage breaks and ensuring the welfare of employees.
- To oversee and assist, in the safe movement of the public throughout all phases of the event.
- To be in contact with the control room and keep them up to date, take instruction from management via control.
- To report any incidents to control/Operations and fill out appropriate paperwork at the end of shift including Incident Report Forms, Team Leader Report and/or End of Shift Reports.
- To monitor and report performance of employees
- To coach and mentor employees under your direction, providing advice and guidance where necessary.
- To work in other roles including Door Supervisor (Events) and/or Event Steward as/when required to support the wider needs of the event.
- To lead and motivate your team to ensure excellent customer service at all times.
- To be the first point of contact/escalation for employees working within your team including the handling of complaints, conflict management, physical intervention and any other enquiries staff may have.
- To complete additional job-related training in relation to the role.

- Hold a current valid SIA licence (**minimum Door Supervision**) **_is essential_**:

- An NVQ Level 2 or above in Spectator Safety (or similar) **_is preferred_**
- A current valid SIA licence (**minimum Door Supervision**) **_is essential_**
- An NVQ Level 3 or above in Spectator Safety (or similar) or work towards this during your employment **_is essential_**
- A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle **_is preferred_**
- Flexible and willing/available to work at short notice (days, nights, evening and weekends) **_is essential._**
- Flexible and professional approach to work **_is essential._**
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous **_is essential._**
- Excellent communication and customer service skills **_is essential._**
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal**_ is essential._**
- Confidence and ability to deal with difficult situations (including those involving conflict)**_ is essential._**
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team**_ is essential._**
- Due to the nature of the role, weekend working **_is essential_**
- Taking pride in your appearance as well as representing the ExcluSec brand at all times **_is essential._**
- IT literate **_is preferred._**
