Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)

Location: Kidderminster DY11

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
Our client is a 78-year-old female living in a residential home in the DY11 area of Kidderminster who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support with daily living tasks for up to 13 hours and 45 minutes per week.

Main duties:
**Personal care**: support with bathing/showering, teeth cleaning, dressing.

**Domestic duties**: support with grocery shopping, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, laundry.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that you/they are looking for:

- **Specific requirements**: someone with previous care & support experience. Must be a driver as client has mobility car for PA to drive.
- **Other**: due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.

Hours of work: 13 hours & 45 minutes per week
- 5 hours community/domestic support

5 hours & 15 minutes per week personal care support (7x45 mins AM)

3 hours & 30 minutes per week personal care support (7x30 mins PM)

Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience

**Essential**:

- driving licence & appropriate insurance
- care & support experience
- confidentiality
- good at building relationships

**Preferred**:

- computer literate
- good communicator
- likes dogs or other pets
- a good listener
- ability to support people with behaviours which challenge.

**Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.**

**This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 13.75 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
