Santos & Co is a new establishment in the UK. The beautiful adventure began as a vineyard in Lagoa, Portugal in 2016. Our first restaurant is coming to Brewery Square in Spring 2025 and we are seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join our Front of House team where you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Our team will be passionate about hospitality and committed to delivering impeccable service in a sophisticated environment, whilst upselling our own valuable produce, created to awaken the senses.

Key responsibilities include:

- Guest relations - greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival. Ensure they feel valued and comfortable throughout their dining experience.
- Reservations management - handle reservations efficiently, including taking bookings over the phone and managing the reservation system to maximise guest satisfaction and restaurant capacity.
- Menu knowledge - develop a thorough understanding of the menu, including food and beverage pairings in order to provide informed recommendations and answer guest enquiries.
- Table service - deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous and professional manner, ensuring that all service standards are met and guests’ needs are anticipated and considered.
- Bar management - prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintain a thorough understanding of the drink menu including own-product selection. Ensure consistency in every pour. Ensure the bar area is clean, well-stocked and organised. Stay up to date with new cocktails and drink specials.
- Maintaining ambience - ensure the dining area remains clean, well-organised and presented to the highest standards. This includes setting and resetting tables, maintaining table and glassware and managing the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
- Handling payments - process payments accurately and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring a smooth process for guests.
- Team working - working closely with kitchen staff and management to ensure seamless communications and efficient service during busy periods and shift handovers.
- Adherence to health and safety standards - follow al health, safety and hygiene regulations to guarantee a safe and enjoyable environment for both guests and staff.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A positive attitude, professional demeanour, and passion for hospitality
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holiday cover as required

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
