The business has built a reputation for excellence and innovation by delivering major marine projects for local and global clients and due to significant growth, the opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Planner to join the team at our HQ in Newry.
- In conjunction with the project team prepare comprehensive planning information on new project start ups, including the sequence of operations and dependencies, resource and procurement requirements.
- Update current project programmes and plans with site feedback on daily, weekly or monthly basis.
- Advise project planner / project team of critical changes to priorities and critical threats.
- Control and record programme revisions.
- Assist the Project Planner in identifying techniques to improve estimating, planning and cost control on existing and future projects.
- Assist the Project Planner to develop various programmes from tenders, procurement, installation, commissioning to as built.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by Management commensurate with the role.

The Ideal Person will have:

- At least 3 years experience working as a planner in a Company’s planning department or contributing to the development of a project plan
- Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Excel and Project
- Demonstratable planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
