**Job Purpose**

As a member of the leadership team support the Directors to lead the Solutions business from commercial and strategic business development perspective both in the UK and internationally.

Acting as a critical business partner and strategic advisor to Solutions on all commercial matters to deliver its strategy and business plan.

Be a visible business leader for the company, both internally and externally, demonstrating the NTS culture principles of Freedom, Helpfulness and Drive.

As a member of the Commercial leadership team, provide expert guidance and support and help develop and deliver the wider organisational strategy including EDI and capability development and resilience.

**Desirable experience**
- Significant experience and demonstrable track record in:

- business development/sales
- negotiation and management of high value contracts
- development of product specific business plans
- managing teams
- budget management
- Significant and demonstrable experience of negotiation and management of high value contracts
- Strong leadership skills and experience and evidence personal development of teams.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of customer relationship management.
- Ability to build productive external relationships and network effectively with key personnel across the business.
- Ability to understand and embed commercial best practice in their teams
- Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels with the ability to build strong external relationships to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile.
- Knowledge of the Nuclear, Rail or Shipping industry/ sector
- Leadership experience in a complex, private sector large corporate environment
- Strong understanding of and commitment to enabling diversity, equality, and inclusion and a track record of supporting positive outcomes in this area
