Trainee Warranty Administrator

We are recruiting for a Trainee Warranty Administrator to join Hawco Group with the opportunity to progress within the Warranty Team.

As a Trainee Warranty Administrator you will process warranty claims in line with Volkswagen, Skoda and Audi brand standards as well as build strong working relationships throughout the Group. This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Being part of Hawco Group you will be working for one of the few remaining family owned car retailers which has over 70 years’ experience delivering excellent service to motorists in the north of Scotland.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide advice on warranty and goodwill to other Retailer members to ensure total customer satisfaction.
- Submit accurate warranty and goodwill claims on a daily and weekly basis.
- Ensure correct submission of warranty/goodwill claims are made to manufacturer.
- Ensure that all jobs passed for warranty/goodwill submissions are accurately invoiced and where deviations occur suggest improvements and corrective actions.
- Document all warranty, goodwill and recall work as per manufacturer’s requirements and Retailer policy.
- Ensure the defect reports and quality reports are completed correctly by the workshop staff following manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Review warranty publications on Desktop daily for latest information and to ensure understanding.

Key Attributes and Skills:

- Computer literate including the Microsoft Office suite with a methodical and organised approach to work with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a polite and helpful manner.
- Confident and enthusiastic with the ability to build rapport easily with a variety of customers.
- A strong interest in vehicle mechanics and the motor industry.
- Confidence to deal with complaints and issues.
- Discrete with sensitive information.
- Has initiative and can self-manage.
- Professional telephone manner.
- Previous experience in an administrator role would be advantageous.
- Previous vehicle mechanic experience would be advantageous.
