Bilingual Learning Support Administrator

One of the leading educational establishments in North Wales, has an opportunity for a Bilingual Learning Support Administrator to join its friendly team based near Caernarfon on a temporary basis.
You will be supporting the administration team in Welsh and English to enable them to ensure a smooth running of the department in order to make the most of their student's potential and any learning opportunities offered to them.
As a Bilingual Learning Support Administrator your main responsibilities will be**:
- To administer comprehensive systems and procedures for the provision of a friendly and efficient Learning Support function to prospective and existing learners.
- Arrange, schedule and minute the transition, progression and statutory review meetings with learners, parents/guardians and external support agencies as required.
- Collate, record, store, monitor and report on the statutory documents required to plan for the learners’ support arrangements in accordance with GDPR requirements and college procedures.
- Provide administrative support in the collation, storing, monitoring and sharing of risk assessments from the college nurse and SHE team where health/medical/mobility support is required.
- Allocate, distribute and monitor equipment distributed to learners and staff.
- Administer examination and ACCESS arrangements in accordance with college procedures.
- To administer, maintain systems and procedures for the monitoring of the following, working closely with the management team:
? Staff schedules
? part time staff salary claims
? staff overtime and toil records
? staff absence, holiday and leave records
? consumable budgets
? staff cover arrangements
? health and safety procedures
? marketing
? quality systems
? diary management
- To provide confidential administrative support for the Manager and Learning Support Co-ordinator in the processing of learner and staff information.
- To provide confidential administrative support for the Director Learner Services, Manager and Learning Support Co-ordinator in taking notes and minutes of meetings.
- To liaise and communicate with, and respond promptly and effectively to all enquiries regarding college learning support services through the provision of accurate information in a timely, professional and friendly manner.
- To operate IT and manual systems and processes in accordance with college procedures and/or instruction from managers.
- To maintain and generate reports on learner data in accordance with college procedures and practices for the purpose of audit and external inspection.
- To carry out any other related duties as requested by the Manager.
We are really keen to see your CV if you have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role, with the ability to show empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by young people post 16.
- At least 2 qualifications to include Literacy and Numeracy.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate effectively. in both English and Welsh, orally and in writing and the ability to work with a diverse range of learners and staff.
- Good IT skills.
- A current enhanced DBS certificate.
This is a full-time role working 37 hours a week, working Monday - Friday up until the End of October. In exchange you will receive a pay rate of £10.39 per hour plus holiday pay.
