**For November 2025,** Cheltenham Prep seeks to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic person who will provide support in English lessons in the role of **Higher-Level Teaching Assistant**. The individual will engage and motivate pupils to reach their full potential, developing the independence, love of learning and maturity required to thrive in an outstanding school. A clear passion for supporting children of this age range is essential and will, in turn, be evident in the classroom and through 1:1 and small group interventions.

**Hours of work are expected to be 20 hours per week and the exact working pattern can be discussed at interview.**

- Confidence in supporting pupils in English lessons and the ability to adapt your way of working for each pupil.
- Experience of working in a similar role and the ability to provide support for pupils, including those with individual learning needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Able to challenge and motivate pupils, promoting and reinforcing self-esteem.
- The ability to form positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
- A team-player with a professional and positive attitude and a ‘can do’ approach.
