**Job Purpose**
**We are thrilled that we have recently received lottery funding for one of our longterm urban regeneration sites at Holy Brook Nook in Coley, Reading. We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team of Wild Project Officers. Together, you will support and develop our community activities for one year with potential to extend to three years’**
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Project Planning, Outreach, and Delivery**
- Co-develop project plans, helping ensure milestones and objectives are met within set timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to implement project activities efficiently and effectively.
- Facilitate activities as a part of the delivery team.
**2. Community Outreach, Co-Creation and Evaluation**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, partners, and stakeholders.
- Be on the team, helping organise and facilitate community workshops, community engagement sessions and conservation sessions.
- Support with gathering feedback and insights from our participants.
**3. Website Updates and Social Media Support**
- Help update and maintain the organisation’s website with relevant project information, events, and resources.
- Create and manage content for social media platforms to promote project activities, events, and achievements.
**4. Record-Keeping and Administration**
- Ensure volunteer and participant data is captured and stored safely.
- Support the team with administrative tasks.

**Person Specification**
**Essential Criteria**
- A genuine passion for nature and the outdoors, with a strong interest in supporting Nature Nurture’s mission to connect communities with the natural world.
- Alignment with the values and ethos of Nature Nurture, including a commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and environmental stewardship.
- Strong skills in community engagement and outreach.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible approach to set working hours and willingness to work one Saturday a month.
- Strong general IT skills, including confidence in learning and using new digital tools and platforms.
- Driving license and own transport.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, with the ability to handle the physical demands of a nature-based environment.
- Due to the part-time nature of the role, we are unable to sponsor a Work Visa so require you to have the right to work in the UK.
**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.), Excel, Canva and Asana.
- Understanding of GDPR and Data Protection Act.
- Willingness to embrace and quickly learn new digital systems, with support and training provided where needed.
- Experience with website management (e.g., using CMS platforms like WordPress).
- Forest School level 3 training or equivalent
- First Aid training (training can be provided)
- Experience working with children and/or vulnerable adults
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 - 12 per week
