**Role**:Quality Officer

**Responsible To**: Operational Support Manager, and in turn Manufacturing Manager

**Duties & Responsibilities**: To assist the Operational Support Manager in the following duties:

- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations across the manufacturing functions within the business.
- Ensure that all managers and responsible individuals develop and maintain the sections of the Quality Management System that are relevant to their section.
- Ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met or exceeded and facilitate customer visits.
- Champion, support and lead quality improvement initiatives across the organisation.
- Manage the update and revision of all quality documentation ensuring that standards in line with BRC Standard Issue 5 and ISO9001:2015 are effective across the manufacturing department and keep up to date with all relevant developments.
- Ensure quality training is provided to all staff.
- Report on quality management activities to Senior Management.
- Liaise with external stakeholders on quality and regulatory management.
- Manage internal audit schedule and internal audit team.
- Lead incident investigation and closure.
- Produce meaningful reports on the influence of quality management function on the manufacturing department.
- Design and deliver training as required.
- In time develop towards Health & Safety management for the manufacturing department, and the company as a whole as supported by other line managers.
- Induction and ongoing progression of new employees.
- Administration of the Drug Master File in line with FDA guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practice.
- Assist Managing Director, Manufacturing Manager and Operational Support Manager in keeping all essential IT function up to date.
- Help to oversee pharmaceutical conversion activities.

**Hours**: 38.5 per week

Mon - Thurs 8am - 4.30pm, Fri 8am - 3pm

**Salary**: £20,500

**Holidays**: 24 days annual leave + 8 statutory holidays = 32 days per annum

**Pension**: 4% Employers contribution

**Personal Specification**:

- Prepared to work with the relevant individuals to be capable of undertaking the above duties in due course
- Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and BRC: IOP and relevant legislation and regulations would be desirable but full training will be given
- Experience in maintaining a Quality Management System
- Experience of conducting audits
- Experience of IT systems including Word, Excel
- Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety Management would be desirable
- Ability to work on own initiative and also work with a small professional team
- Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Level-headed and professional

**Salary**: From £20,500.00 per year
