The role:
- Are you passionate about promoting sustainability and engaging communities? Liverpool City Council is seeking a dedicated team of Environmental Engagement Officers to lead efforts in waste reduction, recycling and environmental awareness across the city
- In the role of Environmental Engagement Officer, you will work closely with local councillors, residents, businesses and community groups to deliver educational initiatives, support new recycling and waste collection services and encourage responsible waste management practices. You will respond to customer enquiries, explain relevant legislation and conduct follow-up visits to address issues. Additionally, you will support community events, develop promotional materials and deliver educational presentations to schools and local groups
- To be successful in the role of Environmental Engagement Officer, you require experience of working with the public, community engagement and project management, along with strong communication skills and a flexible approach
