**Location**: Liverpool City Council
**Pay**: £13.50 per hour
**Hours**: Full-time, 40 hours per week, including weekends

Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) is a leading provider working with Local Authorities to combat issues like fly-tipping, littering, and dog fouling. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and extensive industry experience, WISE is dedicated to maintaining clean and safe boroughs.

**Role Overview**:
As an Environmental Support & Enforcement Officer, you'll patrol the borough, engage with the community, educate on environmental issues, and enforce legislation by issuing Fixed Penalty Notices when necessary.

**Key Responsibilities for the Environmental Support & Enforcement Officer**:

- Patrolling**: Follow an agreed deployment strategy to patrol the borough.
- Investigating**: Address complaints from the community and report findings to your Team Manager.
- Educating**: Raise awareness about environmental crime and the importance of community participation in keeping the borough clean.
- Enforcing**: Interact with offenders and issue Fixed Penalty Notices for relevant offences.
- Learning: Stay well-versed in legislation through our bespoke Enviro Crime Induction Course.
- Documenting: Maintain thorough notebook entries and witness statements for each issuance.
- Effective Communicator: Comfortable engaging with the public, even in challenging situations.
- Team Player: Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically Fit: Capable of prolonged foot patrols in all weather conditions.
- Detail-Oriented: Clear and concise in writing reports.
- Proactive: Able to use initiative in carrying out duties.
- Trained: Willing to complete our Enviro Crime Induction Course and demonstrate competence in independent patrols.

**Additional Information for the Environmental Support & Enforcement Officer**:

- Schedule: 5-day work pattern, Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 7am-7pm.
- Benefits: Company pension, 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays).

**Requirements for the Environmental Support & Enforcement Officer role**:

- Driving Licence: Preferred
