If so, Moxie People are partnering with a charity that is on a mission to end homelessness for young people to recruit four Floating Support Workers in Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan (3 full-time & 1 part-time).
This widely respected charity is looking for someone who is innovative and resilient to help them reach even more vulnerable young people to empower them to find and sustain a home of their own.

**Role overview**:
- Join a service that is about much more than offering young people a roof over their heads. It's about giving them a safe and secure home and the support to help them achieve their potential
- Test and develop your skills, key working a varied case load and adopting a Housing First approach to work with some of the most challenging young people to engage and place in their own accommodation.
- Work proactively to achieve positive outcomes and goals outlined by individuals, by using a creative approach tailored to each person’s needs
- Broaden or strengthen your skills in supporting a range of complex of needs, including housing crisis, substance misuse, complex mental health, ACEs, offending behaviour etc.
- Develop/strengthen your understanding of ACEs, and will work with a trauma informed approach and in a physiologically informed environment
- Enhance your relationship building and partnership working skills, by promoting your services and working closely with relevant local agencies such as the local authority, specialist charities, education and training providers, probation, social services, and housing provisions, etc
**Floating Support Worker role details**:
- **Location**: Bridgend and Barry (Vale of Glamorgan)
- **Full-Time Salary**: £21,276 per annum (including on-call allowance)
- **Employment type**: Full-time, Permanent
- **Hours**: 35 per week, between Mon to Fri (approx. 9:30am-5pm) + on call 1 in 10 weeks
- **Business mileage**: £0.45 per mile
- **Annual leave**: 25 days, rising to 30 days + bank holidays
- **Pension**: Up to 8% employer contribution
**What do you need to be considered for this Floating Support Worker role?**
- Proven ability to engage and build strong relationships with vulnerable people, ideally young people (16-24 years)
- Experience in support work or housing, with a demonstratable understanding of housing options, housing law, and basic benefits
- A non-judgemental mindset and an understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma
- A forward-thinking and resilient attitude, to overcome the barriers and setbacks you will face
- A strong character who can remain calm and collected in challenging situations
- A full UK driving license and access to a car
