We are currently embarked on an ambitious capital development programme across our estate that will see us consolidate within the city centre. Beyond this a new estates strategy is being drafted for 2020- 2030 that will set out the new build, refurbishment and maintenance projects required to meet the growing demands of a modern civic university. Following a restructure of the Estate and Facilities Management department a number of vacancies including this position have become available for highly motivated individuals to support the Estate Development team._
**About the role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a Campus Support Supervisor (Security) to join the Campus Support Team within Campus Services at Liverpool John Moores University. The team provides 24/7 security and out of hours services to a range of campus areas spread across the city of Liverpool. Your primary role will be to provide the operational leadership to the security team during shift ensuring a vibrant, safe, secure, customer centric campus in which to study, work and visit. You will work a ‘continental’ style rotating 12-hour shift pattern. 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off alternating between day and night.
For this role it is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence (maximum of 3 penalty points). You will also be required to demonstrate flexibility due to the shift pattern and respond to variations in business patterns in support of colleagues and customers.
**About You**
As Campus Support Supervisor (Security) you will have experience in a leadership position within a customer service, front of house role, ideally within security or facilities. You will be people-focused and must be able to communicate effectively, displaying emotional intelligence and empathy. A positive proactive and flexible approach to different tasks and situations is imperative, ensuring the highest quality service for themselves and their team. You will need to understand the ‘bigger picture’ with the ability to convey the intent and vision of the service acting as an ambassador for the department and University.
Due to the location of the University Campuses across the city, this is a driving position and you will require a full UK driving licence with a maximum of 3 penalty points.
