Personal Care Assistant

I am a 41 year old woman with a serious physical disability who uses an electric wheelchair. I am currently looking for someone to join my small team of personal assistants who provide 24/7 care both when I am at home and work.

I have 20 hours available:
Wednesday 08:00 - 18:00

Thursday 08:00 - 18:00

There will also be ad hoc shifts available sporadically to cover for leave etc.

During these two shifts I will usually be working as a civil servant. I can work both in my large open plan office in Sheffield city centre or from home.

A typical office day day would consist of:

- Driving me to and from work
- Assisting me during the day with both care tasks and work within the office including helping me get around the building and assisting me with any office tasks I cannot physically accomplish independently
- For parts of the day you would be required to find ways to occupy yourself at my desk while I need you to be on call, but without any specific tasks to undertake

A typical working from home day would consist of:

- Assisting me during the day with both care tasks and work within my home including helping me get around the building and assisting me with any office tasks I cannot physically accomplish independently
- Domestic tasks including making meals and cleaning
- For parts of the day you would be required to find ways to occupy yourself while I need you to be on call, but without any specific tasks to undertake

I am required to undertake day working trips to our London office and I would need the successful applicant to be able to accompany me on these days.

**Salary**: £14.50 per hour. Double pay on Bank Holidays.
