**Job description**

We are looking to employ a Female Personal Assistant (Exempt under Equality Act 2010) to join our small team to care for our 3 children aged 5, 15 and 18 in their family home.

Our children have life limiting conditions and need support with:

- Getting ready for school in the morning including personal care, bathing and dressing
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Administering medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- PEG/PEJ feeding
- Using medical equipment for hoisting, Feed Pumps, SAT machine, Ventilator, Suctioning and cough assist (training provided)
- Attending hospital appointments, family days out and holidays
- Respite weekends
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the family or appropriate healthcare professionals

As part of our team of Personal Assistants you with receive:

- Ongoing training and support in all aspects of all the children care plans
- A DBS
- 5.6 weeks paid holiday

We live close to the city centre with free parking in a fun filled family home. Our children are very fond of their Personal Assistants and consider them family. They will include you in their banter and play. They love music, practical jokes, squeeky toys and laughter. They love to take their dog to the local park and have holidays at the Seaside.

You must be a non smoker who is happy to be around dogs as we have a Border Collie.

Be able to follow Medication Charts and Daily Care Plans and be reliable. Although we have a fun, flexible approach this role is essential in allowing our children to stay at home where they thrive.

We have various hours with all 3 of our children and full time hours are available.
There are also opportunities to work additional hours doing Respite Weekends and accompanying us on family holidays. There is potential to gain valuable nursing experience as well as a rewarding income.

There are various hours and times available but you must be able to work 8am to 10am. There are some daytime hours available as well as overnights, weekends and holidays.

The hourly rate starts at £13.50 but we also have hours available at £14.42per hour depending on your availability.

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Home care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
