**Overview**

You will be assisting the Senior Underwriters, Underwriters & Assistant Underwriters with all administrative and underwriting tasks (within guidelines) for business handled by the Direct Property team - Dealers Open Lot, & Garage keepers risks. You will be reporting into the Head of Direct Property, day to day tasks overseen by the Senior Underwriter. You will work on a hybrid working model.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in administering correspondence sent to the Property and DOL/GKLL mailboxes.
- Underwrite daily post items within guidelines as held on file.
- Production of new quotes, renewal quotes and binders, based on Underwriters terms.
- Prepare submissions for Senior Underwriters, Underwriters and Assistant Underwriters when required.
- Involvement & training with DOL/GKLL Underwriters on new/renewal & PolicyFly business.
- Work closely with the Quality Control team.
- Attend monthly and annual departmental meetings actioning any points specific to you.
- Produce minutes from departmental meetings.

**Key Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Processing of underwriting endorsements and mid-term adjustments an advantage
- Experience of reviewing / underwriting inspection reports - preferred
- Accuracy, attention to detail and analytical skills essential
- Strong interpersonal, team working and communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to absorb technical information
- Confident decision-making skills
- Numeracy and statistical skills
- Problem-solving skills and a logical approach to work
- Self-motivation
- The ability to work to tight deadlines

**Desired**
- Experience in an underwriting support role
- Numeracy, analytical and statistical skills
- North American Property business an advantage.
