Head of Portfolio Delivery**

**£68,343 - £77,022 per annum**

We are building a brand-new Transformation team here at the London Borough of Havering. This role is one of two we are looking to recruit to - the other being a Head of Delivery Assurance. Supported by the Programme Transformation Director this team will take the lead on the design and implementation of a high-quality sustainable project delivery function in line with our transformation work programme.

An expert in transformational change and in exemplar leadership you will provide technical leadership to ensure the successful delivery of projects and programmes. The role requires effective management of the Change Portfolio whilst developing constructive relationships across the Council ensuring they maximise and understand the opportunities presented by technology to drive improvement.

Critically, experience of successfully delivering a large and complex portfolio of transformational projects in an organisation of similar scale and complexity, focused on both cost reduction and improvements to customer satisfaction will be essential.

You will also need to demonstrate experience of leading a team of qualified professionals in a matrix setting as well as exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to build personal credibility quickly with a variety of stakeholders to ensure projects deliver the expected business benefits.

You will be fully empowered to manage you own working arrangements and expect to be in the office at the Town Hall for around 1 or 2 days per month for workshops and regular face to face team meetings.
