**The role**

As a Facilities Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll provide operational facilities support to the site.

Day to day, you’ll clean workshops, maintain tools and equipment, maintain housekeeping standards, conduct visual inspections of fire extinguishers and fire alarm testing. You’ll also support the site Facilities Manager with hosting contractors and visitors to the site.
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment in line with business and statutory requirements
- Reporting faults via the FM works system or to the appropriate Line Manager at the earliest opportunity
- Carry out Mechanical Handling Equipment activity in support of all site operations
- Control, monitor and declare waste holdings to the business waste manager to ensure that wastes are managed to an acceptable level at the site
- Support the Waste Manager with the waste removal activity, recording of quantities and retention of legal documentation in line with SEPA /EPA regulations

**Essential experience of the Facilities Assistant,**
- Previous experience as an industrial cleaner or facilities assistant
- Experience using basic tools such as a screwdriver or drill

This is a full time role based on site at Walsall.
