**DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for talented **Materials Operator** to join our team specializing in **Manufacturing** for our **Materials department** in **Daventry, UK.**
This is a fixed-term contract up to 24 months, with the potential for a permanent contract.
**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways**:
- Ensuring Safety: By promptly reporting hazards and incidents, you’ll help maintain a safe working environment for everyone.
- Promoting Health Standards: Using personal protective equipment and adhering to HSE standards will protect you and your colleagues from potential harm.
- Enhancing Quality: Following quality procedures and performing inspections will ensure that only high-quality products are produced.
- Reducing Costs: Identifying and controlling non-conforming materials will minimize waste and reduce production costs.
- Meeting Production Goals: Operating equipment efficiently and achieving production targets will contribute to the company’s overall success.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping your work area clean and performing routine maintenance will ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborating Effectively: Communicating with your team and support staff will foster a cooperative and productive work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Engaging in training and actively participating in improvement initiatives will help enhance processes and personal development.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**To be successful in this role you will need the following**:
- Accountability: Hold yourself and others accountable to meet commitments, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Health and Safety Fundamentals: Champion proactive health and safety behaviors, identify and report hazards, and participate in actions to improve workplace safety.
- Attention to Detail: Follow procedures meticulously to ensure quality and accuracy, quickly identify and address quality issues, and minimize downtime.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education/Experience**:
- Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously follow procedures and specifications to ensure quality and accuracy in handling and delivering material and components to the production lines. Ability to identify quality issues and or incorrect parts, to quickly minimize production downtime.
- Time Keeping: Delivering material in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and keeping the production line running smoothly.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively within the Materials team and across departments. Communicate clearly about processes, issues, and safety concerns.
- PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) Experience.
