**Work towards a Stores Apprenticeship with Arriva Bus UK.**
Arriva want to identify individuals that are ambitious, demonstrate a willingness to learn who are excited by the prospect of working in the automotive interest - no matter what stage you are at in your career.
**What does the programme involve?**
Stores Assistants play a really important role within our depots, and we will train you on everything you need to know.
Working within the depot alongside a great team of Electricians, Technicians and Engineering Managers, your responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with requests for parts and materials from vehicle technicians
- Responsible for timely parts ordering
- Stock checks and administration
- Maintaining an ordered stock room and finding parts from stock
- Using IT systems to track stock and prepare reports
Required skills involve: Confidence in problem solving and relationship building along with good IT and communication skills. In addition, it is key that you have a willingness to keep technical knowledge updated and an ability to work on your own initiative as well as being part of a team.
**What qualification will I receive?**
This is a 2-year programme working towards an **IMI Level 3 Supply Chain Practitioner (Including Parts)**
You will be fully supported every step of the way by your Development Coach from our dedicated training provider and complete on the job learning in the depot with an allocated mentor.

**Is there progression in this role?**
Arriva want to continuously invest in their colleagues and on successful completion of the Apprenticeship, Arriva would intend on offering you a full-time position.
Once qualified at level 3 there are opportunities to gain further experience and the skills gained, our parts apprenticeship provides a grounding to progress into management positions for those who demonstrate that potential.

**What are the Entry Requirements?**
- GCSEs at Grade C (or above) or Grade 4 (or above) in both English and Maths
- Ability to be passed fit for a pre-employment medical
