We’re looking for a **Payroll & Bookkeeping Assistant** to join our growing team. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Process payroll for a wide variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage payroll deadlines for the firm as a whole
- Help manage client queries regarding payroll and bookkeeping/VAT matters
- Stay up to date with payroll regulations and accounting best practices
- Assist in preparing daily bookkeeping for a wide variety of clients
- Support bookkeeping, reconciliations, and VAT returns
- Work closely with senior accountants and clients to provide excellent service

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Experience in payroll essential, bookkeeping or VAT desirable (AAT or similar qualification preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
- Familiarity with accounting and payroll software (e.g., Xero, Dext, Xenon, Brightpay, NEST, Go Proposal ) is a plus

**To Apply**:
Pay: £25,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
