Human Resources Advisor

**Human Resources Advisor up to 30 hours per week (Willenhall, West Midlands)**

**£22,955 pa (this will be pro-rated for part time) to be reviewed after 6 months, plus excellent benefits**

**The Role**

We are looking for a HR Advisor to join our team. The HR Advisor will provide generalist HR support to our employees and managers. This will include providing advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures, handling employee relations issues, and supporting our recruitment and selection process. **Responsibilities**
- Provide first line generalist HR advice to managers and employees within the shared services team
- Promptly answer high volumes of incoming HR calls and making outbound calls where necessary to report back and resolve queries
- Understand and be able to give advice on HR policies, processes and procedures to employees and managers
- Escalate individual or complex HR queries to a HR Officer
- Identify trends through queries to suggest amendments and process improvement as required
- Working to tight deadlines and within service level agreements
- Work collaboratively with own team and across other HR functions
- Support the operational HR team and take notes in low level disciplinaries where required, ensuring legislation, policy and best practice are followed and HR SLA’s are met.
- Accurately enter data onto the HR/Payroll Database (our 'MyHR' employee self service portal)
- Keep up to date with the latest HR legislation and best practices
- Conduct security checks on new employees through adherence to the Asylum and Immigration regulations, obtaining employment references where necessary
- Prepare and issue all paperwork in relation to appointments, disciplinaries, terminations and variations of employment as and when required

**Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

Essential
- At least 1 years' experience in a HR Advisor role
- Strong knowledge of basic UK employment law and best practice in HR
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good standard of literacy and numerical skills
- Ability to competently deal with internal and external customer queries

Desirable
- Working towards or completed CIPD level 3 (or prepared to complete CIPD level 3)
- Some working knowledge of Employment Legislation and working Policies and Procedures
- Keen interest in Human Resource Processes
