The Division of Dentistry within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health (FMBH) and Department of Bioengineering within the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) wish to appoint a laboratory-based Research Associate to an exciting project exploring the biocompatibility of new and novel 3D printed elastomeric materials used to construct soft tissue facial prostheses.

During this position, the post-holder will undertake a range of activities including:
The research will primarily focus on assessing the biocompatibility of new 3D printed/manufactured elastomeric soft tissue prostheses.

Testing will include relevant tests and processes to demonstrate that the materials will reliably and safely perform in use. This will included biocompatibility, toxicity and chemical analysis.

Experience in research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes is required these may include but are not limited to:
