On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Senior System Engineer on an initial 12-month contract. As the Senior System Engineer, the role involves the generation of design for a system, factoring in safety, security and manufacturing concernsto deliver a set of secure products.
**Role**:Senior System Engineer
**Pay**:£600 per day Via Umbrella
**Location**: Newport
**Contract**:Monday
- Friday, 37Hours per week, 12 Months contract
**IR35 Status**:Inside
**Security Clearance**: Current SC Clearance
**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for Systems Engineering activities for a multi-stage project
- Provide accurate capture of requirements and trace these to design
- Work with the Test team to agree and trace acceptance criteria to relevant design and documentation
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop system design artefacts
- Collaborate with the system integration and software teams to ensure consistency, design for modularity and re-use, and technical excellence
- Responsible for change management, providing impact analysis related to requirements and system design

**Essential Skills**
- Able to work in a multi-functional team, leading from the requirements and design perspective
- Experience across the whole Software Development Lifecycle
- An organised individual with a natural curiosity to seek out and contrast all possible solutions
- Excellent problem solver, assessing the problem to generate multiple solutions and performing trade-off to select the best course of action
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining effective communications within the team

**Desirable Skills**
- Working knowledge of DOORS requirements management tool
