**Post Title: Poling - General Plant Operative**

**Main Purpose of Post**:
To undertake all operational activities, including heavy manual work and driving various vehicles and plant, associated with Poling Engineering.

Ensure work is completed safely and to an extremely high standard.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- To assist with the undertaking of the operational activities outlined above to the required standards as directed by the designated Team Leader and comply with Health & Safety and Environmental procedures
- To abide by the principles and practice of equality of opportunity as laid down in the GT Williams Ltd Diversity & Equality policy statement.
- To ensure that works are carried out as per supervisors’ requests.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Post Title: GENERAL PLANT OPERATIVE**

**Attribute**

**Experience**
- Previous relevant operational experience in labouring and driving vehicles.
- Operational experience in the utilities sector would be an advantage.
- Openreach accreditations would be an advantage.

**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of good Health & Safety and Environmental practices.
- Knowledge of general telecommunications engineering.
- Understanding of good engineering working practices and familiarity with ISIS practices.

**Qualifications & Training**
- Full Driving License (Essential) including B&E
- LGV Driving License (a bonus)
- Current CSCS card desirable
- Current CPSC accreditation in 360 degree excavator
- Willing to attend and complete any relevant training relative to their respective tasks.

**Personal Qualities**
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent time keeping and attendance.
- Problem solving.
- Self-driven and motivated.

**Skills**
- Good communication skills.
- Multi skilled and adaptable.
- A basic level of literacy and numeracy is required
- Experience in driving an excavator

**Other Requirements**
- To be flexible to working times and locations
- The ability to speak Welsh would be an advantage
- A good level of physical fitness is essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00 per hour
