**Senior Business Development Manager - Express Distribution - Basildon**

**Hybrid role - working from home, in the field and office**

**Salary C: £60K to £80K Base OTE £100K Plus - plus £6900K Car Allowance plus Benefits**

The guiding principle of our Clients business is to allow customers to find sending parcels cross border as simple as sending parcels within the UK. In offering a range of global deliveryoptions, supported by a choice of final mile delivery partners, and backed up by smart and intuitive IT solutions, their solution has taken a fresh look at how to support their customers to achieve cross border growth simply and effectively.

**Responsibilities**
- Generate leads and cold call prospective customers (create a sales pipeline)
- Generate custom from said pipeline.
- Meet with clients face to face, over the phone / Teams etc.
- Build / develop relationships with clients
- Understand the needs of your clients and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet/exceed these
- Have a good understanding of the businesses' services and be able to advise others about them

**Skills and Experience**

To achieve all of that, you will be able to demonstrate and show evidence of:

- An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with clients and business associates
- interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
- written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
- IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets
- decision-making skills
- a flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch.
