We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team as our Housing Management Worker. At Duddon Mews, we support our brilliant customers who are over the age of 55 with care needs.

They live in a purpose-built scheme of 14 bungalows in Millom and all customers have access to the communal lounge facilities for social events. We work with an external care team who are on site at Duddon Mews for 24 hours a day.

We help our customers by focussing on tenancy support. As a Housing Management Worker, you’ll support by helping them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts. You’ll also support our customers with their housing benefit claims and make sure that their rent accounts are as they should be. You’ll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant

Whilst the main base for the position will be at Duddon Mews, Millom, you’ll be willing to work flexibly and have a can-do approach about travelling to and working at other schemes across Cumbria.

**About you**

You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.

You have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

As Housing Management Worker, you’ll support the letting and re-letting rooms or units, collect rents, and take formal tenancy action when needed. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe

As this is a community-based job, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use
- When you join as a Housing Management Worker, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one._

**Working hours**

You’ll work Monday to Friday between the hours of 08.30am and 12.15pm.

Whilst your main base will be Duddon Mews, Millom, we may also require you to work from other bases across the county.
