**Salary**: 20,000 pro rata
We are looking for a School Bookkeeper to join our hard-working and inclusive team.
You will be a positive, hard-working and flexible member of our school finance team, supporting the School Business manager. You will work efficiently and collaboratively to ensure tasks are completed and you can support the Business Manager well.

**School Bookkeeper**
- Accuracy and attention to detail;
- High level of organisation with the ability to work accurately under pressure, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a calm and efficient manner.
- A high level of IT competency, including the ability to work confidently with Outlook, Word, Excel and databases;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and sense of humour;
- Discretion, professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times;
- Inclusive, kind and empathetic.
- AAT or similar qualification desirable
**Key Responsibilities**
**(1) **Administration on behalf of the School Business Manager**
- Processing of all purchase Ledger invoices, seeking necessary approvals/authorisation of spending
- Regular reconciling of the bank
- Payment of all purchase Ledger invoices (and other adhoc payments) through online banking ensuring payments are in line with invoice due dates
- Payment of monthly bank loan interest
- Processing of invoices and payments through the accounting package (Engage)
- Allocation of fee receipts from bill payers and allocation to the debtors account within the accounting package
- Monitor and ensure effective debt collection
- Timely raising of other manual invoices (e.g. room hire, rent etc)
- Processing of staff expense forms
- Fee run (once a term, 3 terms per year, and adhoc for Nursery) creating invoices to parents using the accounting package
- Calculating Fees due depending on sessions attended (for Nursery)
- Process payroll changes (starters, leavers etc) on the third-party payroll provider portal
- Process bacs/faster payment run for payroll (based on report send from third-party payroll provider)
- Assist the Business Manager in the delivery of departmental budgets to academic and facilities staff
- Assist with the annual audit process
- Procurement of goods and services (researching and placing orders to get best value for money for the school)
- Recording of school trip deposits.
- Any other adhoc support required by the Business Manager.
- Management of the Petty Cash Account
**(2) **General School Administration**
- If needed, undertake some reception duties alongside the School Secretaries, promoting a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere and assist visitors to complete the required security procedures;
- Undertake other ad-hoc clerical, financial and administrative duties as required;
**Terms of Employment**
- A part-time role: 20 hours a week
- There may be opportunities in busy periods to work additional hours.
