North Yorkshire Council have children and family hubs located across the county and provide services for children and young people aged 0-19 and their families. The Selby Family Assessment & Support Team work with children, young people and their families who are Children in Need and Child Protection within the Selby area. Part of their responsibilities is to plan and attend meetings to review current or potential risks to children and supporting this vital service is where you come in.
You will be a highly motivated administrator with great communication skills, as a key part of this role is liaising with other agencies. You will deal with sensitive highly confidential information, both written and verbal, and will liaise with members of the public and professionals. You will be working to strict legislative deadlines, so it is important you are highly organised and proactive. The day-to-day core focus is providing direct support to the social work team, and you will require excellent ICT skills and experience of using Microsoft packages.
This role also includes regular coordination of multi-agency meetings and producing high quality minutes in a timely manner, and when required, you will be expected to support meetings at other locations therefore previous minuting experience is desirable.
Due to the sensitive nature of the role, you will need to observe a high level of confidentiality and comply with GDPR at all times.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the organisation of meetings and events including booking venues, issuing invitations and papers and taking minutes.
- Sound understanding of issues relating to confidentiality and data security
- Significant experience and competence using IT and common business support packages including word and excel.
