London, United Kingdom CRG TEC Full time

The Role: Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Location: London (Liverpool St.) Package: Salary to £70,000 with benefits including 25 days holiday, pension, BUPA health, gym membership. This role is a London based position with a global remit and end end to end responsibility for the infrastructure that the software platform and critical systems run on, both on premise and also in the data centres. The summary is that we need someone to keep the wheels turning by way of this associated infrastructure and then play a key part in the migration away from data centres into AWS, so you'll design, document and implement that remit meaning a lot of interestingopportunity and say into the "How" and then make things happen. You'll just focus on infrastructure, not DevOps and it's a global private cloud across UK, USA and AsiaPac with around 200 servers globally. Listed, British company that are expanding rapidly across the World with live service in over 27 countries and their sector is technology / connectivity into flexible workspace - meaning a lot of growth as companies look to make best use of office spacegiven the hybrid / flexible working that has become the norm. Who are you / technical remit: Infrastructure / cloud (AWS) would be key and it's a hands on technical lead, with the ability to design and implement new technology migrations into the cloud. To list come skills - Ansible, AWS Cloudformation alongside reasonable networking knowledge (Not fussed on specific vendor) but general R&S, security would be assumed. Database would be MySQL / AWS RDS but the general key would be an AWS infrastructure expert from the service provider background who is hands on, can offer challenges when needed and ideally has worked with a global remit previously. Normal UK working week, with flexible working in place so likely in the office (Aldgate East) 2 days per week. Joining the on call rota will be part of the role moving forward.
