**What you’ll be doing**
In this role you will be part of the Quality Team, within the wider Laboratory structure, supporting the QualityManager in the delivery of the day to day operation of the Quality Management System and audit program for laboratory, potable and waste samplingensuring the continued accreditation to ISO17025, DWTS and MCERTS for laboratory and sampling activities.
- This role will involve_:
- Providing accurate, timely information in response to customer enquiries to Technical / Sampling Managers in support of Quality and Audit Manager. Keeping customers informed. Ensure problems with analysis are communicated
- Performing H&S inspections. Taking pro-active lead in local departmental audits, documenting the findings, and ensuring actions are cleared within agreed timescales. Whilst conducting field-based audits ensure that safety observations are reported and loggedappropriately
- Carry out one SHE6A/SHE6B/SHE6C per month, assisting in SHE1, SHE7 and SHE10 audits
- Raising a minimum of 2 safety observations per month
- Challenging costs & involving procurement in spend decisions. Streamline QMS processes.
- Update EQA and KPI data for Quality Management requirements monthly and for Quarterly Quality Review/Management Review Meeting
- Organising and conducting Technician audits in the potable and waste sample teams as per the audit schedule, Quality System of the QMS, laboratory method audits
- Assist in the preparation for and participate in external audit activities (eg UKAS, EA)
- Providing advice, support & training to the laboratory and sampling teams
- Manage timely review, revision and issue process of quality documentation adhering to document change controls and requirements of QMS/ISO17025.
- Assisting in the assessment of trainee review audits to ensure training has been completed to the right standard
- Proactively identifying training needs with supporting evidence via development plan
- Ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of the AQC processes are delivered daily as per procedure. Technical support of the AQC process
**What you should bring to the role**:
- Experience of working within MCERTs, DWTS or ISO17025 accredited Quality Management System
- Demonstrating understanding of ISO17025, Drinking Water Inspectorate and Environment Agency quality guidelines and their importance
- Good attention to detail in own work and in checking others work against an agreed quality system
- Self-motivator, focussed and personable individual with the ability to work autonomously yet part of a wider team.
