**What's the role about?**

As a Senior Researcher in the Research & Insight Team, you will be known for delivering high quality research across both ad hoc and ongoing tracking studies and across qualitative and quantitative disciplines.

You will have a focus on getting to the heart of what motivates our Partners and customers and communicating that in a coherent and compelling story. You will be involved in delivering major research projects using a variety of quantitative and qualitative techniques. You will be a curious individual, motivated by getting underneath data to proactively deliver insights. You will have the opportunity to develop and stretch personally and professionally to achieve your potential.

**What you’ll be doing as a Senior Researcher**:

- Understanding the broad business and market context, direction and strategy and using this to shape and influence work.
- Creating research briefs and asking questions to ensure that the problem is fully understood to achieve the best outcome for the stakeholder.
- Managing the research process end to end, demonstrating strong organisational skills and ensuring projects are delivered on time, to a high quality and for the best value.
- Delivering relevant and actionable insight to stakeholders, integrating input from multiple teams, data sources and stakeholders.
- Ensuring the ‘so what’ is clear, presenting insight in a confident and concise manner to help the business make better decisions
- Demonstrating an understanding of multiple data sources, drawing information from them and understanding how data sources fit together (e.g sales and market data, closeness, experience insight) and how best to combine them to ensure that the business question is answered in full.

**What you’ll have**:

- Experience in relevant Insight / Research role or passion in this area
- Good technical skills in both qualitative and quantitative research
- Experience in critically evaluating facts, statements and looking at all angles.
- Experience of synthesising complex and ambiguous information in order to drive actionable insight
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving, numerical skills and commercial acumen
- Skilled at navigating ambiguity

- Experience working in the retail industry
- Experience working alongside Analytics and Data Science teams
- Experience working within a matrix, agile teams
