Here at Seashell we support those with profound and complex learning difficulties, sensory impairments, communication disorders, autism and complex health needs.
These rewarding roles will involve supporting the young adults (19 - 25 years old) with various things including morning/evening routines, recreational activities, communication, personal care and generally supporting our young people with anything theymay need help with throughout the day. Our 4 bed homes are all based on one site so there is **no travel required.**
The salary range for the roles starts from £18,950 but with our enhanced rates of pay for weekends and bank holiday shifts the earnings range is **£19,828 - £21,320,** and overtime is also available, paid at time and a half.
**Role Summary**
- You’ll work a rolling rota with shifts over 7 days, **no nights** (every other weekend with enhanced pay rates)
- The hours are 37.5 hours per week, with enhanced weekend and bank holiday rates of pay (time and a third), and overtime (time and a half) is also available
- Full time, part time and flexible hours available
- You’ll get up to **33 days holiday**(including bank holidays) in your first year, rising to 38 days (including bank holidays) with length of service
- Support to complete a level 3 qualification relating to working in health and social care
- These active roles will involve providing daily care and support for our young adults including personal care needs, mobility, daily routine support, communication, independent living skills, learning and leisure activities
**Requirements**:
- Experience working in a care setting supporting children/people with complex learning disabilities and communication, behavioural and sensory impairments or in a mental health setting is preferred but not essential. We can also consider life experience,however **full training is provided**:
- GCSE English and Maths (grade A-C) or level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification is a requirement for these positions
