**JOB TITLE** Transport Planner

**LOCATION** Hesketh Bank

**SALARY** £25,000-£30,000

GBA Services Ltd. are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and engaging Transport Planner to join their busy Preston depot.

The Role
- Reporting to the Operations manager, your role will be the day-to-day planning of a fleet of vehicles, maintaining compliance and ensuring drivers operate within legal parameters. You will be there to assist the Operations manager in his role. Looking at maximising fleet and driver utilisation where possible, ensuring P&L is monitored and KPI reports are produced. You will be responsible for the overall working/driving time for drivers, ensuring a 48 hour weekly average is maintained over a 17 week reference period. You will assist the team in motivating a growing group of LGV drivers.
The Person
You will be practive and work well within a small team structure, enthusiastic, approachable, and friendly. You must be able to manage drivers and their expectations well.

Some other attributes that we are looking for:
- Identifiable track record of planning in transport, good understanding of compliance (specifically in relation to drivers’ hours)- Knowledge of excel, P&L and KPI reporting
This is an exciting and challenging role and you will need to be able to multitask, prioritise your own workload and communicate in a professional way. We use a range of Microsoft products throughout the business, so a good working knowledge is required.
