We’re looking for an Information Manager to join our team in Swindon on a permanent basis. The salary for this role is £47,000 - £55,000per annum (DOE) and we will consider applicants wanting full-time or part-time hours, this can be discussed at interview.
- Please note, this role can be mainly home-based with the expectation to travel into our Swindon office once or twice a month._

**What will you be doing?**

The Information Manager which is based within the Risk, Information and Security Compliance (RISC) Team will lead and manage the Records and Information Management Team to ensure the data entrusted to UK SBS is secure, accurate and appropriately utilised.Part of the role includes acting as the Data Protection Officer, providing specialist advice and guidance at all levels to the Company.
- Key responsibilities will include:_
- Manage a small Records and Information Management Team and work successfully as part of the Risk, Information and Security Compliance (RISC) Team
- Lead the implementation of strategy, policies, standards, systems and culture and ensure relevant legislative and compliance requirements are met
- Drive adoption of best practice management of electronic and/or paper-based information, coordinating with clients to ensure there is a consistent approach to record keeping
- Ensure appropriate records and information management training is in place to meet defined competency levels and monitor their effectiveness
- Support Information Asset Owners in their role and provide up to date guidance on their obligations under relevant policy and legislation
- To be the nominated Data Protection Officer and point of contact for the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
- Inform, advise and issue recommendations to the Company and its employees about their obligations to comply with GDPR and other Data Protection laws
- Monitor compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws, with UK SBS data protection policies, including managing internal data protection activities, raising awareness of data protection issues and employee training

**Who are we looking for?**
- Professional qualifications and relevant proven experience in compliance with the Data Protection Act, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Freedom of Information Act
- Proficiency and demonstrable experience in Records and Information Management and experience of managing a small team in a challenging and flexible environment
- Experience of providing high quality customer service in a complex environment as well as strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
- Drive and determination with the ability to see matters through to a satisfactory conclusion
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence, build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to support, guide and inform as necessary
