Infrastructure Engineer

**Role Purpose**:

- The Infrastructure Engineer role is a wide-ranging role that will support all infrastructure technologies. We work a 7.5-hour weekly shift rotation covering a 7:30am-6pm, Mon-Fri service.
- This role will have experience across Server, Storage & Backup, Identity & Access Management, Messaging & Database and will have expert level knowledge in at least one of these areas.
- This role forms part of an Infrastructure team providing both BAU and Project support to our clients. Working in a SLA driven environment to deliver high levels of customer service to our client.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and execute calls entering the Infrastructure Support queues in accordance with contractual SLAs
- Carry out Incident Management on assigned tickets.
- Provide 2nd/3rd Line Support to the client on Infrastructure Incidents & Requests
- Undertake hardware replacement in a secured Data Centre environment
- Execute tasks to support Maintenance and Lifecycle activities - including Patching of services
- Represent Sopra Steria in various Infrastructure projects with the client
- Documentcommonprocess&practice,includingprocessflowdiagrams,processand procedures around identified Service Improvements, maintaining Knowledge Base
- Provide SME support to Problem Management and proactively work to identify and resolve problems.
- Support and mentor new starters in various Infrastructure technologies

**Essential Skills**:

- Knowledge of Storage Technologies - NetApp, HP 3Par preferable
- Knowledge of MS Windows Servers and MS Exchange Servers
- Willing to work out of hours and attend remote sites
- Knowledge of VMWare and experience working in virtualised environments
- Proven experience with MS Active Directory at Enterprise/Multi Forest scale
- Proven experience with MS Exchange
- Good understanding of procedures behind logon scripts
- Good understanding of Group Policy (AD)
- Demonstratable Citrix Knowledge and Citrix Management Infrastructure
- Experience with Backup Technologies -Netbackup, Dataprotector, Tape technologies & mgmt.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Microsoft SCCM
- Experience of PowerShell Scripting
- Forefront Identity Management
- Unix and Linux
- Experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle DBs
- ITIL Qualified
- Experience of working as a Supply partner to various clients
