On a seasonal basis, decide stock quantity to buy, negotiate delivery dates with the factories to communicate delivery performance to the sales team. **The Role**: - Responsible for the complete life cycle of a select range for given brand / area of responsibility - Analysis of inventory requirements, propose buy quantity and place Purchase Orders - Reconciliation of orders, sales forecasts and inventory against factory capacity - Suggest actions where necessary whilst maintaining stock turns and SKU productivity targets - Maintenance of Purchase Orders - if incorrect amend and inform factory - Collaborate on the creation and management of the Business Plan and OTB plan - Review and report on lead-times and factory performance to the business - Negotiate and liaise with factories to ensure acceptable lead-times are met - Identify, resolve and communicate any production/shipping/sourcing issues - Manage the expedition of airfreight stock once signed off with brand - Liaise with factory reps worldwide to achieve a smooth flow of production - Prepare and distribute internal weekly Merchandising analysis - Work with customer services and warehousing to track key accounts & shipments - Order, track and allocate New Season Samples to the sales teams across Europe - Suggest ways to improve inefficiencies and identify procedures to be revised - Cover business plan / factory forecast plan and brand communication in manager’s absence - Maintain B2B systems and assist with eCommerce and retail allocations (brand specific) - Enthusiastic & well organised**: - Merchandising, Purchasing / Buying experience**: - Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels & countries - Good knowledge of Excel (V-look up and Pivot tables) - SAP knowledge is preferred (if not training provided) - Demand planning/purchasing qualifications would be beneficial - Knowledge of retail demand planning and sales channels - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and organisation skills - Team co-ordination / mentoring skills **The Salary**: **£35,000 to £45,000 pa DOE + bonus + benefits** French Selection, leading UK-based consultancy specialising in the recruitment of bilingual and multilingual professionals for international business (industries and services).
