Vanguard Healthcare Solutions Modular is part of Vanguard Healthcare Solutions Limited which was established in 1999. A UK-Based, privately owned, international provider of infrastructure and clinical services supporting healthcare clients worldwide.

Our purpose-designed and built mobile and modular facilities provide our clients with new or replacement healthcare spaces including operating theatres, endoscopy suites and sterilisation and diagnostic departments. As part of our solution to our clients we also support them with clinical teams and equipment for our facilities.

We are looking for a Category Buyer to join our manufacturing team, based in Hull.

Responsibilities for the role:

- Drive procurement activities, supplier negotiation and cost projections for new product development projects
- Identify partners capable of supplying the company's product portfolio and lead the cross functional team to qualify new suppliers
- Ensure organisational compliance to defined terms and conditions
- Plan and forecast orders with deliveries timed to meet factory and shipping requirements aligned with project plan
- Manage request for quotation, evaluation of quotes and recommendation to Head of Supply Chain and Procurement
- Support the operation to ensure material needed to build the company's products are available when needed by the operation
- Review supplier requests for design changes, evaluate the cost impact, and coordinates with design and the supplier if determined to go forward
- Carry out business reviews with key partners within their categories
- Evaluate and report on KPIs monthly

Requirements for the role:

- Suitable procurement qualifications or working towards them
- Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrable, established experience in Purchasing/ Procurement
- Experience working within Construction ideal but not essential
- Good working knowledge of supply chain processes
- Strong communication skills
- Microsoft Office experience and expertise (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)

**Salary**: Up to £40,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hull, HU3 4UW
