Accounts Assistant

**Based in Borehamwood | 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday) | up to £24,000 depending on experience**
**What we’re looking for**:
We’re looking for a highly organised individual with excellent customer service skills and experience in accounting processes to join our Finance Team. Excellent attention to detail is also a must. Experience of the financial services industry and familiarity with associated software packages is required as well as transactional and/or processing experience. You’ll join a friendly and welcoming company in Borehamwood with a real family feel, that can offer you a vibrant working environment and in-depth training.
**Some of the things you’ll get up to**:
- Set up, renew, and amend Direct Debit agreements with our Third-Party Finance provider
- Field queries from internal Broking departments
- Process refunds to clients
- Answer telephone queries from clients and take credit card payments
- Ensure client completion of finance documentation and credit control responsibilities
- Document and maintain all procedures and processes
**We’d like you to have**:
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry and familiarity with associated software packages
- Excellent customer service skills with an excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate clearly and precisely
- Ability to plan and organise, prioritise, making effective use of time and resources
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring that high standards of quality are consistently maintained
- Ability to work within a team environment and to co-operate with team members thereby building effective working relationships
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and the ability to learn new systems and processes as required
- Willingness to learn, develop and adapt to new ideas and circumstances
