- To oversee the administration of funding requests to the relevant ICB to ensure that the Commissioner’s Clinical Priority Policy is met
- To process and log all patient funding requests and forward to the various ICB’s for approval
- To understand and use the various Commissioners’ Service Restriction Policies, keeping abreast of any changes and advising relevant departments accordingly
- To understand 18 weeks referral to treatment (RTT) pathway rules in order to prioritise funding for elective patients effectively
- To work alongside, and cooperatively, with Patient Access staff and other Admin teams to ensure a seamless process from beginning to end
- To recognise patients on a cancer pathway and liaise with Cancer Services MDT co-ordinators to ensure patients are dealt with appropriately
