Position Summary:
Cabot Corporation is one of the leading global specialty chemicals and performance materials company producing a range of chemicals across 21 countries in the world. Our location in Barry (Sully, Vale of Glamorgan) has been established since 1992, and is a manufacturing site producing hydrophilic and treated Fumed Silica in close collaboration with Dow.

We have a vacancy for a Stores Controller to join the Barry engineering team. The primary goal is to manage, control and continuously improve the Site Facility stores inventory.

You will be trained how to safely operate complex processes to ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained.

Also you will be working in a dynamic environment and therefore, we are looking for an excellent team player with enthusiasm and flexibility.

Job Responsibilities:

- Entering all deliveries into ERP system including engineering and production consumables;
- Ensuring that any delivery is in line with specification and internal controls;
- Issuing stores stock items via ERP system ensuring adherence to internal controls;
- Managing spare parts inventory;
- Controlling and reporting of stock out conditions;
- Managing/updating stock item descriptions;
- Working with the Purchasing team in Riga, purchasing items for the Barry site;
- Raising purchase requisitions for stores items from generated reorder reports and obtaining quotations to satisfy ERP system conversion;
- Reviewing all Site Purchasing queries, to include monthly, quarterly & yearly reviews;
- Maintaining the COSHH regulation register of store stock items;
- Maintain safety stock levels
- Managing control & tracking of the site equipment leaving site for repair.
- Generate out stores spend and stock levels for monthly, quarterly and year end reports

**Stores Accounting / Finance**:

- Ensuring SOX compliance controls for inventory related to stores
- Working closely with Accounts Payable & Purchasing team, GL Accountants in Riga and UK Finance manager as necessary for stores queries

**Requirements**:

- Strong IT skills, main frame and Microsoft office
- Stores management system JD Edwards, SAP or similar
- Working knowledge and understanding of the principles of inventory management
- SH&E understanding and practices
- Good general standard of education
- Previous experience in Stores management
- Safe Use of Electricity and Portable Electrical Appliance
- Nice-to
- have competencies: Forklift Truck, Manual Handling, Telescopic Handler, DSE
