Main purpose of job:
To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the invoicing and financial control of the business to support our project management team.

Using appropriate accounting software and our in-house CRM system, you will carry out general finance duties including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing to clients in support of the project management team and allocation of direct costs to specific projects.

The job role will include providing some customer support where necessary, and liaising with the Directors, to update them with financial reporting data.

This is an _**“in office”**_ role at our office based in Worthing and **not available remotely.**

Currently required as 3 days per week. Ideally, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.

**Requirements are as follows**:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices and payments in a timely manner
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist with payroll processing, CIS and tax filings
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Monitor and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or trends
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Processing and setting up for payment authorisation of all incoming supplier invoices
- Tracking and checking of all incoming customer invoices
- Processing and submitting all VAT payments
- Preparing end of year accounts for main accountant
- Preparing quarterly management information and monthly P&L for review

**Necessary qualifications are as follows**:

- Accounting or bookkeeping qualification
- Full working Knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Full working knowledge of HMRC live payroll system
- Ability to generate payslips
- Ability to understand accounts and generate requested management information from them
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
