Job Purpose: The Field Service Engineer is responsible for 2nd level client support and services. This position works closely with other IT departments for incident and problem resolution, and service request fulfillment within agreed service level.Tasks include:Maintain applications on end user devices: install/uninstall, troubleshoot, data recovery and maintain applications, products and equipment.Maintain the estate of end user devices: Identify, analyze and repair equipment failures. Order and replaceparts/material as needed.Maintain other equipment including printers, scanners, warehouse equipment such as RDTs, etc.Determine, recommend and test which products or software best suit our customers' needs.Provides training guidance to end-users, ensuringdelivery of high quality and proactive support.Escalate incidents to next level support when the solution is unknown or cannot be solved within defined time frames. Responsibilities:Provide first and second level support for incidents and service requeststo business colleaguesPerform problem resolution and investigation into incidents.Take part in Technology projects as required, either as the local IT colleague or as part of a wider global endeavor.Maintains asset inventories, ensures stock of devices andperipherals is appropriate, orders new equipment etc.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:3 to 5 Years of relevant work experience.Associate Degree with Systems Engineering or Related field of study required.Other Education / Certifications: MCSE, SCCM, ITIL Foundation,CCENT.Excellent communications skillsAble to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.Able to use relevant computer system applications at an advanced level.Working Conditions:Occasionalnon-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.On-call availability required as necessary.Professional, office environment.Location - Field based If you are looking for an opportunity in an exciting fast paced industry with training and support tohelp you achieve career goals, continuous progression and the chance to grow your new career, apply today to find out more about Tech Data and what we have to offer #LI-SS1 Cultural Competency Requirements: Within Tech Data diversity is one of our fundamentalshared values.
