**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Our client is looking for an Onshore NUI Superintendent on a short-term contract, located in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

**ROLE**

The purpose of this position is to reduce responsibilities of the NUI OIM’s. The NUI Supt shall be responsible for the planning and day to day operation and Maintenance for all NUI’s (Normally Unintended Installations) in the Central Asset. The position holder will be qualified to OIM level in terms of experience, training and competence. The position will report direct to the OIM.

The job holder will have to develop good relationships with drilling rig OIMs and Rig Supt’s to manage SIMOPS interfaces. The job holder will also require a clear understanding of all current, planned & future operational activities as well as interface operationally with the PUQ teams. The job holder will be expected to develop a medium term view of asset operations and contribute to accurate planning and preparation of operational activities on the NUI’s within the asset planning process.

The focus will be to deliver the best and most balanced performance in terms of safety, production, operational efficiency and cost reduction.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Safety - Ensure that all work on the platform is properly planned and that all necessary Hazids, Risk Assessments are completed in a timely manner for the work to commence. Act as platform recommender for any such assessments etc. Carry out regular visits to both NUI platforms to complete safety tours/audits. Develop and execute a yearly audit schedule in conjunction with SE/OPS and take part in audits as required.
- Along with the PUQ HSE advisor ensure that adequate Safety Observations and Deal Feedback visits are completed. Review all cards and identify areas for improvement. Develop and execute improvement plans. Participate & Lead root cause investigations into incidents occurring on MPMI platforms. Will countersign all NUI permits after preparation by Requestor & vetting by the NUI OIM/AA. Shall be a member of the FEST & West FEST team on PUQ. Will be fully accountable for Platforms continual cleanliness & housekeeping standards.
- SIMOPS - Responsible for look ahead to identify conflict with Drilling/Production/Construction and provide input to planning process to minimise any conflicts and production downtime.
- Health & Hygiene - Ensure that hygiene, welfare standards are maintained to achieve the correct working environment. Will be responsible for ensuring all health and Hygiene monitoring is undertaken and audits are complete as planned. Provide input on any remedial works resulting from actions arising. Responsible to ensure continual monitoring and control of water quality on NUI platforms.
- Planning Work Scopes - In coordination with the field planner - develop 2 week look ahead plans and ensure adequate resources identified to complete monthly PM’s. Resource Work Orders in conjunction with Maintenance Leads ensuring that all scaffold and rigging requirements are clearly identified with realistic estimates. Identify vendor requirements. Use available resources to reduce PM and Corrective backlog to an acceptable level and control/Expedite immediately any Cat A backlog. When required plan and co-ordinate campaigns ensuring that workscopes are clearly defined, and that required equipment can be released. Ensure that materials are available and onboard.
- Operational Leadership - Be first point of contact with Franklin and West Franklin OIM’s and AA’s. Also to be first point of contact with RSESD’s on the drilling rigs for all normal day to day operational and safety activities.
- Assist the Franklin and WF OIM’s with advice on any potential conflicts and provide solutions.
- Reporting & Investigation - The NUI Supt will be responsible for all day to day reporting to the CGA field RSES (PUQ OIM) and providing accurate updates on progress of all ongoing activities. Liaise with the appropriate departments and TA’s onshore for all Franklin and W Franklin related issues.
- Take part in investigations arising from any incidents and ensure that they are thoroughly investigated, root causes identified and that appropriate remedial actions are placed and closed out.
- Personal Development & Competency - Participate in recruitment, organise, motivate and develop staff, via appraisal and training schemes, to provide the correct calibre of personnel to meet platform objectives. Act as Assessor/Verifier for Competency Assurance Management System (CAMS). Contribute pro-actively to the development of installation staff competencies through CAMS, and co-ordinate with HR to establish a training/development programme. Maintain optimised Multi Skilled Competency Based approach to manning development such that intervention crews have technical skills above that of the mandatory Intervention Policy Requirements. The objective being to ensure that persons on minimum Intervention Crews have embedded skills to liquidate
